Britflex 'NJ' Expansion Joint System
The 'NJ' expansion joint is a surface mounted nosing joint. The system consists of an elastomeric insert bonded to the rapid curing elastomeric Britflex polyureide resin mortar nosing with an additional secondary waterproof membrane bonded between the structural deck and resin mortar.
For new works the 'NJ' system may be installed using nominal nosing dimension (see attached movement joint brochure) and for refurbishment contracts, the nosing may be varied to accommodate on site dimensions.
The 'NJ' system is registered with the UK Highways Agency, The Scottish Office and The Welsh Office. The Highway Agency BD 33/94 Joint Type 4 refers.
