Newcastle City Council have been using Nufins HISPEC PAVING since 2000 and during the past 7 years Nufins have successfully supplied more than
600m ³ of paving mortars for laying Caithness stone pavers and Granite setts in the Graingertown area of the city. Newcastle City Council are delighted with the material and its performance.
HISPEC PAVING is designed for use on vehicular-trafficked & pedestrian areas and was recently supplied to a prestigious projectin Scarborough.

M74 Raith Bridge, Motherwell
Nufins supplied NUCEM CONCRETE of DECK REPAIR RAPID and NUGROUT FLOWABLE CONCRETE to the M74 Raith Bridge Project.
Repairs to the bridge included remedial work to reconstruct an end abutment gallery to replace end ballast walls over the abutment, Concrete repairs, replacement of bridge bearings, re-waterproofing and surfacing were also part of the works.
These products were chosen because of there robustness, suitability to application, and finishing characteristics.
NUCEM CONCRETE is a versatile system that may be used in a number of applications such as:
- Repair material to both insitu and precast concrete
- Repair to floors and road wearing surfaces
- Screeding where abrasion and or/water resistance is required
- Repairs to spalled columns and beams using formwork
Other materials supplied include;
EPICON INJECTION RESIN LV which is a thin structural repair epoxy resin crack filling grout.
Due to the uneven nature of the deck, Universal Sealants (UK) Limited supplied a levelling screed to improve the surface profile prior to waterproofing.

A66 Surtees Bridge, Stockton, 2006/07
The existing structure carrying the A66 dualcarriageway over the River Tees has beenreplaced by a new wider 3-lane structure, which accommodates slip roads to and from the new South Stockton Link Bridge.
The existing bridge did not meet all engineering standards required to take the latest 40 tonne heavy goods vehicles. Studies had shown that there were problems with concrete bridge supports below the water line.One of the many products supplied was
NUGROUT HI SPEC. This product is a high strength, shrinkage compensated, free flowing cementitious grout which is widely used in a number of applications.

- Structural repairs to piers, soffits and parapets

- Rail bedding and alignment
- Grouting of starter bars, holding down bolts etc
