Innovative designs       Good Use of Colour

 

Nufins was approached by a regeneration group in Berwick-upon-Tweed with a view to supplying a decorative surface to the floor and sides of a children’s paddling pool along the sea promenade. The refurbishment project involved design ideas that were provided by local school children. The theme was to create a bright visual display of sea creatures that were to be inlaid into the background colour.

 

Crystal screed is a solvent free epoxy screed incorporating aggregate in a clear epoxy resin to provide a highly decorative, chemical resistantand hard wearing surface was selected as the most suitable system for application, due to the following reasons:

  • Available in a wide variety of colours
  • Produces a highly decorative finish
  • Provides a non-slip surface
  • Excellent chemical and water resistance
  • Hard wearing, abrasion, resistant topping
  • Solvent free

On completion of the highly successful project several members of the public were asked their opinions of the redevelopment. Some opinions are listed below.
